Picture Playdate Madness

I recently had the pleasure of capturing TWELVE kiddos during a crazy picture playdate. I was EXHAUSTED, but was so fortunate that every child was happy and cooperative (and the moms too).

I LOVE these kids (this is my third session with them). They are sooooo much fun and listen to their mom so well. We got some great shots of the twin boys and the gorgeous little sister and then enjoyed some bubble time.

A Quick Update

I am always a little behind on my blog. I hope all you Mommies had a special Mother's Day!!!!

Some recent photos of Miss H. at the Arboretum. This little girl was so cooperative, happy and so much fun to capture. Unfortunately, we were in a time crunch but it was no problem because I had such a wonderful little model. What a cutie and I love the gorgeous eyes.

Annalie is 9 Months Old

I cannot believe that Annalie is already 9 months old. I took her newborn and 3 month photos. We scheduled her 9 month session on her 9 month birthday to commemorate the big day.

Annalie makes the most adorable faces and LOVED picking up the grass and chewing on it. While Mom and Dad tried to yank it out of her mouth, I sat there capturing her mischevious looks.

Thanks to Mom and Dad for another wonderful family session. I hope you both enjoy your photos.

Upholding Our Family Tradition

Ever since my family moved to Waco, TX from Michigan it became a family tradition to take photos in the bluebonnets. I always HATED it. I would make fun of my mom, try to get out of it, and then pout and roll my eyes and talk about how stupid it was.

My mom would then send these photos to our relatives, so all of my extended knew about the famous "bluebonnet photos" every year.

Well- now I am a mom and a photographer and what did I find myself doing this spring? Dragging my child and my niece out to a field in Waco to take photos in the bluebonnets (something I SWORE I would never do).

It was actually a lot of fun and my niece Jasmyn is so full of personality and extreme goofiness, that she was a great model and endured several outfit changes. I even got some photos of my brother who hates having his photo taken.

The light was very harsh, but when the sun started to set we were able to catch that gorgeous sweet light.

Some photos of my little blue eyed, Texas girl...

My Session with Leo

Leo is such a gorgeous baby. His skin is perfect and he was already so well behaved. He looked at the camera and posed for some of his shots, and then fell asleep the rest of the session. It was a great opportunity to move him around and get some beautiful naked baby shots.

I really loved this session. Mom and Dad are friends and it was a lot of fun to capture Leo's beginnings. I couldn't pick a favorite, so I just decided on my top eight proofs.

BIG BOY!!!!

I was so surprised when I walked into this family's home to take photos of their little 2 month boy. Instead of finding a little scrawny thing, I met chubby cheeked, double chinned Barry.

I LOVE babies with some meat on their bones, it reminds me of my own chubby child.

Barry was such a sweetheart and made the cutest faces.

I also was able to listen to his father sing the CHOO CHOO train song over and over to get Barry to smile. MAN- that song was stuck in my head on the wasy home.

I had to capture some of Barry's baby parts too. Look at them and you will see why.

COUSINS!!!!

OK- I have fallen SO BEHIND on my blog. I apologize to my clients that I did not include, but this spring has been NUTS. I am currently booked through the second week of JUNE.

Here are some pics of my sister's daughter Avery and my daughter Ellie at the Arboretum. They are such adorable kiddos and they make such a great pair!!! My favorite photo is the one of Avery crying and Ellie chewing on a stick. That's my girl!!!!
